Thornhill Group, Inc. (TGI) is an independent consulting firm that specializes in hydrogeologic and ground-water related projects. Firm personnel consist of certified and licensed professional geologists and hydrogeologists, and have collectively more than 100 years of experience in studies involving assessment of the occurrence, movement, quality, availability and protection of ground-water resources, in designing wells and well fields for effectively developing ground-water supplies, and in evaluating impacts of producing important supplies of ground water. Additionally, TGI personnel have conducted numerous evaluations of environmental and hydrologic impacts to ground-water resources resulting from industrial activities and mining operations. TGI personnel have conducted, managed and/or participated in evaluations involving each of the major and minor aquifers in Texas, and in other important water-bearing units in the State. Additionally, TGI personnel have conducted geologic and hydrogeologic investigations in several other states.

Michael R. Thornhill founded TGI (formerly Thornhill & Associates) in March of 1998. With more than 15 years of consulting experience, Mr. Thornhill has conducted, managed and participated in numerous high profile projects, particularly those pertaining to availability, development and protection of important sources of ground water throughout Texas, and many of which are within important areas and aquifers targeted for large production and transactions currently or in the future. For example, Mr. Thornhill was the hydrogeology expert for Ozarka Spring Water Company (Perrier/Nestlé) in the Rule of Capture case argued before the Texas Supreme Court, and continues to serve Nestlé with expert hydrogeologic services. Additionally, Mr. Thornhill has recently headed up ground-water availability investigations in areas potentially targeted for large production from the Carrizo-Wilcox, Queen City, Sparta and Gulf Coast aquifers in different parts of Texas.

TGI personnel have conducted, managed and participated in hundreds of ground-water assessments primarily within Texas. Firm personnel have also conducted evaluations in Alabama, Arizona, California, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, and several other states.
